Help!

We just ruined the second-hand Shopbot dust-collector foot we scrounged from the only other SB guy on the island!

Would be nice to get another one soon, but hopefully not at SB prices
($210 last I heard!)

Second hand would be OK if not too beat-up: we can rehab, if need be
(did it already with this one just now ruined)

Surplus/un-wanted, new would be great too! :)

We are on the island of Barbados in da Caribbean
so we'd have to arrange payment and shipping complications...not impossible.

...............................

Just to be clear,
I'm attaching 2 photos of the item we acquired locally, taken when it was being unpacked, brand new!
It came with a SB PRT-96 manufactured circa mid-1996
but we can and will adapt anything similar that comes our way ;)

I don't necessarily think shopbots costs are out of line on most of their items I have looked into but you might consider that the tool itself has been used by many here to make it's own replacement foot out of acrylic. I didnt search again, but I've seen many threads over the years.

Don't waist your money there are better designs out there that work much better. Here is one. https://www.kentcnc.net/nc/ $200 would not be bad if it worked good but they don't.

I like this design and I have been planning to build one similar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=446yp1v-XiY&feature=player_embedded#!

..you might consider that the tool itself has been used by many here to make its own replacement foot out of acrylic. Working along these lines, we cut a part from 3/4 inch white PVC foam board
and attached it to the remnant foot, reusing the somewhat-chewed-up skirt.

What the heck: it works until the new one arrives from Shopbot
who charged us $45 for the molded acrylic housing only

Three pics below of today's effort..
