O.K. so I had to completely reinstall my electric service to my detached garage shop so I have not been able to do anything for a bit. (Passed inspection right off)

I started the bot up today after installing a brand new Beckwith .25 cutter.
Homed using limit switches, set Z with Z-zero plate and started spindle and let it warm up for a couple minutes.

Loaded the grapes file and it ran through it with so-so results. Tried the bearpaw one and it started burning almost right away. Stopped and reset everything, moved the wood and re-zero'd everyting and checked the VFD display and it is at 120.77 (I believe that is 12K RPM but maybe I am wrong?)

Tried it again with the same results....Burning right off. I did not mess with any of the settings in the sample file. I screwed the wood down and don't visually see any problem with the bit as it turns.

I ran that same program before I had to replace the electric using a left handed drill bit without any burn.

So what am I doing wrong?

Spindle running the wrong direction. Watch it and make sure the direction of rotation. There are three wires to the spindle. Switch any two and the direction will reverse. Of course turn the power off first. :D It can be switched in the vfd or anywhere between the vfd and spindle.

You didn't do anything wrong, but the two hot legs comming into your shop are probably reversed from what they were originally.
