Shopbot Lathe /Indexer

Hi to all..

I want to know something about Shopbot Lathe/indexer setup.
1- I have seen many threads where You guys Turn the piece (Just as lathe)...Is the same stepper is used for turning the workpiece... I want to know whether shopbot has seperate DC Motor for turnining purpose?

2- Can someone share the pictures?

3- Shopbot has amazing features of Turnining machining.... ?.. How the turning programming is done?

KHALEEED! Hey bud..The shopbot indexer can spin like a lathe (not as fast) with a command like MB 36000 (360 being one revolution) However you do not currently have mnual control of any other axis while that one is operating. I asked about this a few months ago and Ted said it was coming soon, independant axis control maybe someone with more recent knowledge can tell us more.

Currently what other have done to overcome this limitation is to put a small lathe between the indexer head and tailstock as shown in a thread where i asked about the same basic thing you are trying to do:
