Email account hacked

Hi everyone - just wanted to give a heads up about a possible email account being hacked - possibly one or more of the forum members email accounts.
In the email I received, there were "carbon copies" sent to several members of this forum.

Today I received an email which appeared to be from someone on this forum, however I know this person would not have sent it. And the message I.D. does not match up with the supposed senders email. So my guess is it's spoofed (senders account email is not where it really came from).

I would advise NOT going to or clicking on any of the links if you received something similar.

If it originated from me, i apologize. I've never been hacked before, till now and had not clicked on anything so not sure how it happened:eek: :o

It's those "free" sites you're always finding!;):D

Well Jack, a couple things. Don't register on any of those sites, don't use a common password. If you need to, keep a little black book and rotate passwords once a week. Change them up but don't use the same password on the same site or account. After a couple months, start all over again.

I received a second one today and had to mark as spam.

Change your password on your Hot Mail account. I think the hack came from that yahoo account thing that you and Danny were posting all those files on a few years back.

Hey guys. I got it as well. Have had 2 so marked as spam and blocked them. I am not sure it came from Jack as I don't think Jack has my email. My daughter had email hotmail account hacked few months back as well. Funny thing was it sent her grandfather a email for buying viagara.:eek:
