Hey folks having a issues with my PRT ALPHA 4896 after moving my shop into a new space, I've been intouch with shopbot (Frank & Gary)and they are pointing me in the direction of dirty elecricity (noise issue) they are reconmending a power conditioner.

Here's the issue run a file part with the columbo spindle off the file runs fine, re-start file with spindle on does not move past second line lock up software.

If the noise is the issue what type of power conditioner or size has anyone bought , used ,to fixed this kind of issue, Anyone ?

As mentioned this is a new building to us ,and there metal all around and two other machine shops in the same complex.

PRT Alpha 4896 , Delta VFD B

Thanks

Terry

The best conditioner I know ofis, a #6 braided copper wire..from your table to a power co. neutral, from your PC to the power co. neutral, from your spindle to power co. neutral and from your casing on the control box to the power co. neutral.

I have a chinese vfd, and this was the only way I could stop the noise. (sorry that should read power co. ground not neutral.)

good luck
