I had a fellow email me these to help get converted but I don't have vectorworks either. Could someone convert them to dxf or dwg? he is desperate so it may be d=faster to do it myself and just send them to him.

Been offline from the Forum for awhile. Do you still need this done?

Happy to do it if still needed. You might also ask which file format version he needs. I can export to either dxf or dwg in the following versions:
2011 / 2012
2010
2007 / 2008 / 2009
2004 / 2005 / 2006
2000 / 2000i / 2002
14 / LT98 / LT97
13 / LT95
12
I can also output dxf in text of binary formats. When in doubt, I usually use 14 as I have had problems with some of the newer ones.

When I open the file I get a message that the file was created with an illegal copy of Vectorworks. Perhaps whoever made the files should purchase the program.

I get the same results as Wayne (which prevents me from opening them to make the conversion).
Best advice I can give is to contact whomever created them. If it turns out that their copy of VW is on the up-and-up, they should be able to convert to dxf/dwg with no outside assistance needed.
