does anyone know what kind of lights work the best for an acrilic edge lit sign? spacing of the lights? supplier? and do you have to flame the edges?

I use lcd flexible strips of lights. The bottom should be flamed but leave the sides and top frosted to reflect the light around in the plexi. I was at the Aspire gathering this weekend and picked up a lot of good info there. Check out the pictures on the vectric and camaster forums even above on our forum there are dome pics. I get my lights from ebay here is a link to the seller I use.

I use ElementalLed out of Emeryville CA. I use High output leds on as many edges as I can get to, and I have never bothered flaming the edges although that may help intensity a bit.

Jerry, Does your supplier also have the transformers to run the lights?

Thanks for the eBay link, Jerry. That is half what I pay locally.

DLCS...I buy my transformers from a local electronics surplus place for $1.50.

Here you go, Jerry. Do keep in mind it has been 3 or 4 years since I bought my last batch, but I would suspect the price hasn't gone up much.
