Russ,

With all the tools you've got, you must have a snow blower!!

I like the view as well.

Russ if you lived around here you would be given the day off. If there is less then 1" of snow they close the schools...how foolish. We could have Feet of snow and they never closed the schools when i was a kid, rediculous.

BTW Wednesday forecast is predicting a high of 82

Jack, I know it was 5 miles uphill, in the snow, both ways! :D Actually by tomorrow most of it will be gone so i will have no excuses for tomorrow.

Now as to the snow blower if you leave it in the shop then you can't quite get to it! :)

But of course if you take the work out of it and actually make it part of the fun then we have this:

Thanks for the comments, and yes there really are fish in da' river.

We've had a really crazy winter down here in Georgia. Actually, we had no winter to speak of. I've barely touched my piles of seasoned firewood and my wood stove is stone-cold and dusty.

If this is global warming, I'll take it!

It's been a horrible winter up here in NY for the guys that get paid hourly for snow removal. My boss, however made a bundle on his contracts. They closed schools one day two weeks ago just to use up one of their allowed snow days. President's day weekend they gave them an extra day off for the same reason. Normally it takes quite a bit of ice and or over 12" of snow an hr for them to close school.

We had 12" fall between morning bus route and afternoon route (I'm a bus driver). No early release. That night we had another 8" fall and no school cancel or delay. Most of the time I'm leading the snow plow in the mornings so that is a lot of fun.

The school district I drive for has the policy that if the temperature goes below 0, at the school not, outlying areas, school will be delayed 2 hours to see if it goes above zero. No talk of snow fall amounts needed to delay or cancel school.

I guess it all depends on where you live and what you are used to....

Many years ago I was working In San Francisco. I was listening to the radio at work (I know, lighten up will ya! :D ) and on the radio they announced that it was SNOWING at the Caldecutt Tunnel East Bay (elev 220 feet!) I immediately left work and headed home. Later that day the traffic was a 4 to 5 hour delay getting through the tunnel! Maybe a total of 2 inches of snow, maybe! You are quite right, it all depends on where you live and what folks are used to!

BTW I'm headed out to the shop. Russ
