Ever since adding the ShopBot to our shop, I've been looking forward to the possibility of building French Baroque furniture for plays written by playwrights with names like Moliere. Finally got the chance with this table. The legs were supposed to have been 3D double-sided carving, but 5-1/2 hours into a seven-hour cutting file, the Y-axis stopped responding (static?) and destroyed the fourth and final piece. Out of time, we settled for dimensional artwork on the outward facing surfaces only.

Legs are doubled 3/4" lauan with 1/2" MDF on the outside surface.
Table top is doubled 3/4" ply with a 1/4" lauan cap. Edge moulding is oak (I think) cut by a former student at his home restoration shop and sent to me as a thank you gift.

All painting was done by the Set Designer / Scenic Artist.
