Just wondering how many on here are using the Milwaukee 5625 router?

I have had one since 2006 it seems to wear bearings faster than my PC routers but is substantially quieter and smoother the speed control is miles ahead of the PC router.

Did a search but last posts on these routers was 2007.

Brian,

I have a 5625 and I don't think it wears out the bearing sooner but I have stopped using the stock bearing and have replaced with better bearing.

Nils T, Where are you getting your bearings? I have been getting mine from tool parts direct.

Yes...Same deal with the Porter Cable. Bearings aren't as specialized as you'd think. Lots of things share a common bearing. For example, the upper small bearing on my Colombo spindle is the same bearing series as a GM alternator...except it is ABEC 7 rated. I was surprised to see that!

Brian,

I have to look up the numbers at my shop. I will get back with you.

They cost a little more but they are worth it.
