So my computer bit the dust. I mean the dust bit it. So I had to get a new computer. SYX SG-130 Gaming PC - INTEL CORE i7 2600k 3.4 GHz, Genuine Windows® 7 Professional 64 Bit, DUAL - 1GB RADEON HD6770 GFX, 16GB DDR3, 2TB 7200rpm HDD, BLURAY, ASUS Z68 MB, Liquid Cooling (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1277091&SRCCODE=WEBLET03ORDER&cm_mmc=Email-_-WebletMain-_-WEBLET03ORDER-_-Deals). At first I had trouble just getting the drivers install. Well reading the form I found the solution in Gary Kling note. How that work find.
Now I am having trouble with the spindle speed control. I loaded the shopbot speed control program first. But it doesn't do a thing. no matter what I can't change the speed.
Can anyone help. Am I still missing a driver for the spindle control?

Did you go under the Tools menu and click on it in SB3? Then right click to the left of the number display and set it to always come on, and put in the right settings for your model VFD? If you don't, it won't work.

I had a few issues with that when my computer bit the dust. A few calls to Frank at Shopbot fixed it right up. Please note that the reason it took a few calls instead of one wasn't on Frank's end.

Good deal...have fun with it and remember PWorks sets the initial RPM unless you over ride it.
