I have a chance to pick up this older but unused FPZ 2hp regen blower that was originally bought for use with a CNC table. Unfortunately, I've not yet been able to get the spec's off it from the seller.

My first question is whether it is even big enough to work for a 2-zone setup on a full size table under non-agressive cutting speeds/loads? If not, how about a section of the table?

My second question is about these mystery parts with motors that are included in the pkg? Are they part of the system??? If not, does anyone have any idea what they are?

Finally, any idea what a fair price would be for this pkg?

Thanks much,
Gerry

No idea what the 'mystery parts' are...They are most likely not part of the FPz package. Get the HP rating off of the motor itself. At 1st glance it looks like a K05 blower and could be about 5hp. If memory serves me correctly it is around 200CFM and 8 Hg" suction. Make sure you get the motor starter with it or you'll be shelling out $300 for one. Most of these are 3 phase - so keep that in mind.

Hi Brady,

I just got a bit more info on it. These are the fellows words:

1 FPZ V-5 2hp regenerative blower ( 2 zone ) filter, relief valve and cutting file cost $2000.00
1 leeson 5hp 240/208v 1 & 3 ph AC inverter/SM plus line item

Tks

I would pass...Under 5hp the compressor profiles show that it won't have enough cookies to do any meaningful work on a CNC router. There is no such animal as a V-5. The only 2hp vacuum blowers available are K04 or K05 trim models and they lack the performance you need.

For $2k you could get any number of pumps that would be conducive to CNC operations.
