To recap things one day I had the normal resistance in my vacuum setup and the next day or right after I surfaced the top I had 5” on one zone and about 3 with all four open and nothing on the table.
I have two taco boxes and they both show the same resistance. I tore all of the pipe apart clear to the valves and everything was fine. each zone shows the same resistance so that left out a plug past the valves. I replaced most of the pipe to the valves including the check valves. I have two gages and they read the same but even without them I can hear the motors working harder.
I had a thin piece of ultralight on there with a 1” piece surfaced both sides glued on. This worked fine for three weeks then it did not. I shaved the top down watching the gauge and even with only 1/16” left I still had 3” So I took the top off completely I checked the van right at the inlet on the table and it is the full amount airflow seems fine.
I put another sheet of 1” surfaced both sides and it is right at the same 5” so in total I have had parts or whole sheets totaling 4 sheet and they are all the same resistance. all are ULMDF that I have been using for years.
I was hoping it was the low humidity in my shop as it was about 39% so far it has gotten about 44% and the problem has not went away it is usually 40 to 50% in my shop most of the time.
The strange thing is I seem to have good parts hold down so far nothing has slipped or come loose. I don't think there is anything left to check or do and so far I have not a day without the resistance.
