5 Axis owner open to custom work?

I had a request to cut 4200 relatively small pieces out of 7/16" plywood, having various beveled edges. Too many bevels to get custom tools, so the five axis should fit the bill. If interested, contact Brian

I'd still be interested in hearing from someone with five axis capability. The customer I was trying to help doesn't want to be contacted from a posting on a forum, so at his request I removed his number.

you may not need a 5 axis machine and i doubt anyone here has one. Do you have a picture or dxf of what it is you want cut? I think we could figure out how to cut it on a regular table, or at least tell you what it might take to do it.

I have 4 axis and if you want to send it to me i can at least look at it.

I just put it out there in case someone can help this man. I don't have the full prints, and I decided not to tackle the job. I would have needed to cut them out 3 axis, then sand the bevels on the edge sander. Not impossible, but it would seem much more efficient to have the router bit tilt, cutting to final form in one operation.

Without see what it is that needs to be done if you are talking about applying a beveled edge to a part, that can be done relatively easy. But ill I see what it is, it's hard to tell.:confused:

Sorry about the lack of information. It is frustrating when customers don't give as much information as they can. This was a job I hesitated to commit to, but thought I'd help him make a connection if possible.
