You mean a disc sander out of the tablesaw? I would not the rpms are really too fast and a 10" disc is pretty small.

I'll second harbor freight. Some (if not most) of their stuff is complete ****, But some consumables including spindle sanding sleeves I have noticed no differece at all from name brand. Except of course that they are a third of the price.

Chris,
I went there and did a search for sandpaper, sanding supplies, ect and found only some flat sandpaper and a few other supplies but nothing for sanding sleeves except something you attach to your drill press. They sell an oscilating spindle sander you would think they would have supplies for it.
If anyone has bought sleeves and different grits could you please post a link because i can't find it, even though it is probably right under my nose:eek:

Jack,
I mostly shop in the store. This is the sander that they sell that I have bought sleeves for. http://www.harborfreight.com/oscillating-spindle-sander-95088.html Though I couldn't find it on the website either, I know that they sell the sleeves. I would guess you could get on the horn and get a product # for replacements. They sell a few grits; 60, 150, and 220 if I recall. I can check next time I am up that way. They also sell a kit of the rubber mandrels (if that is the right term) to fit the sleeves if you are building your own.
I bought that sander 6yrs ago for a one-off job @ ~ $100 with coupon, but damn me if it hasn't kept running and become a "go to" machine for specific detail sanding in my shop.

Klingspor's has them. http://www.woodworkingshop.com/category.aspx?id=24
And in my area, Menards has some from Performax that have worked well too, although not as much variety as Klingspor's. http://www.menards.com/main/tools-hardware/power-tool-accessories/abrasives/spindle-sanding-sleeves-150-grit/p-1497983.htm

I've ordered from Supergrit as well. I like that I can order just the sizes and grits that I want, instead of buyer an assortment pack. It's only a $25.00 minimum order there too.
If you don't see what you're looking for, just call them. I buy a 2"x4½" 220grit from them that isn't listed on their website, but it's in stock.
