My son is an Architect major, graduating next month. He created this design in Rhino and saved the file as an STL. When he came home for Easter weekend, we loaded it to Aspire 2.5 and cut it on the PRT from a 2" thick of HDU. It is all one piece with profiles cut around each square down to within a 1/2" from the bottom. He sprayed it white with acrylic paint and framed everything in red oak. He is a real artist!

I agree. I really like your son's artwork. Also great to see that father/son projects can happen at any age.

When i saw the title of the post i thought...ok his little kid made some stick drawing and he digitized it and vcarved it. Boy was I wrong. That is nice!:D

I like it but how do you know if its right side up, up side down or it could be laying on its side?:rolleyes:

Yes a great artistic work.. The 3D machining of the tiles make it rich as compare to if he had made it with only one single sheet..
