Can somebody help with this:
1- I am trying to make shopbot setup because the machine was acting weird. When I load a part file the machine does not start where it is supposed to start. It starts somewhere outside my material. So I thought the X-Y axes must be off. I tried to make shopbot setup, but whenever I zero the xy I get an error message "one of your prox switches is turned on already. check the connections and target setup and then try again". I reloaded the default setting file for the desktop, but still did not help.

2- One more thing (and I believe this is a bug in the program) previously whenever I run a job whose feed rate and plunge rate are low, after running it the move and jog commands are automatically changed to such rates, and I have to go back and reset them.

Not sure about 1.

For 2 the move rate will change depending on what's it set to in the file. The jog rate doesn't usually change but it depends on what your file is doing. If the file changes it then it will change. It's not a bug it's the way it's supposed to work.

No. 1 possible answer.
Are you using Aspire? If so, then see if your setup is correct.

When you first start Aspire you have to choose "Create a new file" or "Open an existing file". If you click on "Create a new file" you will see a section called "XY origin position" here you can set your XY origin your options are:

Bottom Left hand corner
Bottom Right hand corner
Top Left
Tot Right
Center

Also if you open a dxf or ai file make sure that that the use origin offset is not checked. I have a customer that sends me AI files and they are all over the place.
