For those of you who use Rhino, how does one export an stl of a surface for use in Aspire? Or is there something else that you use?

Select the polysurfaces or meshes you want to export & then File-Export.

When prompted, save as a Binary STL (it is smaller & more universally accepted). From there you can pull it into just about anything CAD/CAM-wise. It has the smallest footprint of the mesh formats, besides 3DS...which is hardly worth mentioning as it cannot contain more than 64,000 triangles, which results in a faceted mess anyway.

This might do the same thing as what Brady suggested, but I always just clicked on "Save As" under the File menu. A dialog box will pop up and click on the dropdown arrow list and there is an option to save as an STL.
