Has anyone had any trouble with a usb cable longer then 10 feet?... say 20 feet?

Although it's not recommended, I'm using mine with two 10' cables at the moment with no ill effects. I make sure that it's not close to or running parallel to any other cables.

It's recommended that it you have to go with longer lengths that you use a USB 2.0 hub.

It may all depend on how good the USB 2.0 ports on your computer are.

Mine chattered real bad with an extended 10' cable, then I added a powered usb hub and it made all the difference in the world I can run as fast as I want now and no chattering

You can buy powered 16' USB extension cables that can be chained up to 80'. I've been using them since I did my Alpha upgrade and put the controller on the wall with ~25' of cable to my computer cart. I still need a USB hub to force my computer to use USB 2.0.
