Cherry, with a satin lacquer finish.

Nice job on the finish. I think i like Cherry the most, it just seems to turn out the nicest at least for me...:D

Ever since I was young, cherry has been one of my favourite woods. And walnut as well.

Red oak has to be probably my least liked wood from both a working with, and looks point of view. For grainy look, I much prefer Northern White Ash.

But, I digress... :) Cherry does generally machine well.
