* I have my keyboard and monitor on a swing arm on my machine but all that vibration and I can't really move it much I wanted a change. Well I could buy one for about 400 but decided to make one. 1 sheet of 3/4” russian plywood made two carts minus the shelf.
I drilled holes with a 1/8” bit (could use a bit larger holes) cut it in three passes two climb one finish 3ips.with a 1/4” downcut bit.
I decided on locking casters but I did not mount the close enough to the edge to reach I chose that option after I made it of course.
The shelves and keyboard arm just have a ring I screw in place to hold them. I was debating on using dowel holes but I did not think I would be adjusting them. Too much tilt on the keyboard shelf but I just have tapered blocks I can replace to adjust it. Plus the mouse would slide off. I could make a flat mouse add on but I will just mount the keyboard shelf flat. I have 1/2” holes for dowels to keep the keyboard from sliding off and to keep dust from getting trapped there. The shelf was a afterthought and it is pretty simple. I wanted to use a monitor bracket but I don't have one on hand so I will just screw the base to the top shelf. But I will change that when I get one off of ebay.
It all fit pretty well without my usual trial and error method. Only the keyboard angle was off.
The top mounted monitor may make it too tippy so the bracket is a better idea. Will post pics monday when I set it up.
