This appears to be a boatbuilders material. It's a composite of HDU with fiberglass reinforcement.

Has anyone cut this or similar materials? What were your experiences? How did it cut? Any recommendations on tooling, speeds, and feeds?

A few years ago I had to cut six 2ft square fiberglass molds to the point that they were unrecognizable. I had cut fiberglass before and knew what to expect. I ordered a new bandsaw , two carbide tipped blades and a 1 ½ hp dust collector with .3 micron bags.
By the time we were done (about 5 hours) both blades were trashed, all of the bearings in the bandsaw were squealing except two guide bearings (which were seized) and the bearings in the dust collector impeller were loose. Everything we used was trashed.

Yikes! I was watching this thread thinking this was a possibility for my ATA style road cases. I currently use an ABS sandwich that creates a light weight box compared to laminated plywood cases...

The right bits for cutting fiberglass are diamond coated. Carbide will do it but you will trash them fast.

Actually, the best bit I have found for fiberglass is the water jet up the street. No mess in my shop, no itchees.
