In reading this it sounded to me like it would help fix stl files and one thing that i find is sometimes you download free stls and they are very faceted and frankly not worth downloading and i wonder if this can repair files like that?
I think what is needed is something that will add polygons to smooth out a model but i don't know if this will do that or not.
It might be worth looking at anyway:D
