anybody know where I can get 1" butcher block panels

I have a job to cut some maple cutting board and was looking for a supplier of 1" Butcher block material to cut out. I could make the panels but it would be nice just to buy the stock and cut it up as I'm pretty busy and don't know that I have the time to devote to laying them up if I can buy them at a decent price.

You might try Michigan Maple Block Co. also called Bally Block. They do lots of sizes that might fit your requirements, not sure about them selling large stock. However, their service is terrible and they will only do business through one of their distributors.

Ikea sells some countertops that are butcher blocks. And they aren't that expensive :D I would just grab them, and cut them to size.

The 1 1/2 in thick won't work for this and the ones retail at ikea lumber liquid etc.. are 1 1/2. I have seen the block board around and just can't seem to find anyone who carries it, If I have to have em made up then it will most likely be better to do it in house, Was hoping someone knew of a readily available product. I appreciate your responses.

I make them up for my self they are 48 x what ever width that i need that week.. The problem is that the cost of shipping would eat you a live...easy way to make them is rip your boards wider than what the finished product will be... Plan both rough sides glue the side you planed together then plane to thichness...mixing the woods like walnut, maple and cherry makes for a nice cutting board...

I could lay them up but they want about a thousand to start about 12" x 13"long
If I can't find a decent supplier I may have to do it myself, It would give me a good reason to pull out the old wood welder to speed things along, Just really busy so i would like a good source if possible.

I talked to these folks earlier this year about making some custom butcher block tops for a project that didn't end up going forward. They were very helpful when I called them, and I'm sure that for a quantity of 1000 they would be willing to do custom sizes. Just a possibility.
