Who likes which the most and why? We are using Cabinet vision and are highly considering a prs alpha. We are not interested in giving up CV. Is there a huge difference between the two and should there be any real concern moving forward? Thanks Tony

There is no reason to give up CV. There are SB owners out there who have been using it for years. One I know in the Atlanta area is a regular on the forum and he may chime in with more specific details.

CV and the ShopBot work great together. What level of CV are you using? You'll need the S2M (Screen to Machine) Center module and a postprocessor to generate the correct code for your machine. There is a cost involved with getting a postprocessor from CV. The cost of any upgrade and the postprocessor would be the only downside. The upside is that you are already using the software so the learning curve is lessened or eliminated.

Each program has its strong and weak points, e-cabs has a lot of control over machining strategies which we wish existed in CV, but CV is much stronger on shop drawings etc. You would have a hard time getting me to switch from CV.
