Made these from 3/8" Birch ply and cherry. The cherry accents were 3d'd in Aspire, vcarved and pocketed into the frames. The edges where sprayed w/ high temp paint, over spray was sanded away then clear coated. These did take awhile to machine.

Sometimes you see things that you want to try to emulate. I'm starting to do some work for a winery that is conjunction with Trumps winery here and this might be something of interest. Thanks for the idea!

What size of laser did you use...that looks like it is 3/8 birch.

Nice work

Gene,
I think he cut in on his shopbot - I don't see laser mentioned.

what I am going by is the blackened edges...
looks like it has been cut with a laser going by color...I have two lasers...

Does look great. I actually have a similar design I made up although it was derived from some pics i took of some antique movie reels. The reals were used as decor for an old drive in movie theater's snack bar that got torn down last year. They wouldn't even let me by the old reals and was told they were thrown out. Such a shame.

In any case, good job looks outstanding.
