Are there any structured SB3 control/operating software tutorials along the lines of what Vectric does for its design programs? I've searched all of the Shopbot sites, documentation, manuals, etc. that I can think of a number of times. Am I perhaps missing something?

No - and there isn't much you really need to know in SB3. If you know about 5 commands, you can figure out all the rest, until you know enough to try messing with some of the other commands.

When i got my shopbot, along with my paperwork I got a really nice laminated SB3 quick reference guide. I could see where it'd be an indispensable tool while folks are getting going.

Gerry...
Most of what is current is available under the [H]elp menu in SB3. You will need Adobe Reader (or another PDF reader) to open the files.

You also have the following options:
Attend a 2 day ShopBot Training session (at ShopBot)
Join in to them online (no web participation) (no cost)
Arrange a 1 on 1 live web training thru ShopBot
Arrange 1 on 1 training at your machine

Instructions....we don't need no stinking instructions!

I got a nice big binder full of stuff back when i got mine. The laminated sheet is probably around somewhere, did you not get a shortcut sheet? If not i can find mine and copy if needed.

You should find out when the next online training course is going to be broadcast from shopbot, that would help.
here is a partworks tutorial:

but i couldn't find anything specific to the control software.

1. Being on my third Shopbot now and finally deciding to try to learn how to use it rather than just shine it up...

2. Being that I'm a retired tech teacher/corp. trainer/training developer with a bunch of HD video production equipment...

Maybe I should just take those many miscellaneous bits and pieces of good info I've found, plus the wealth of relevant knowledge and wisdom on the forum and put it together into a structured foundations program. It's one sure way to learn it and maybe I could send it off to a few of the real Guru's to vet it if they had time. Well, there goes my winter, haha. Hey, if it's good enough maybe Ted would even send me a fourth Shopbot... well okay, a T-shirt :)
