Hey Ermino. I have a standard and have been thinking about alphs upgrade. Not sure if pocketbook can handle it. Can you give me idea on your cut speeds before and after. I have a circa 2007 prs standard and been allot of mdf doors. More speed would help keep up to orders.
THanks in advance,

Hi Glen
We must have the same machine, mine is a PRS 2007.
I was cutting @3-3.5 ips in order ovoid loosing steps-and I still would occasionally lose steps! Jogging @ 3.9 ips
Yesterday I was cutting @ 5ips and jogging @ 14 ips
"Luigi" was zipping all over the table
Cut speed is also effected by hold down.I have a 16 hp regen motor.
I'm finding that not having to worry about miss-cut parts and having to keep checking for lost steps
is a big time saver!
Everything is running much smoother
Not easy to let go of the $$$,but For me, it was well worth the upgrade.
Seems like a new machine!
Hope this helps!

Well I got the ipod app to work and thought perhaps uprgrade control software while at things. I didnt record what version I was using before I decided to do a upgrade but I am reinstalling ver 3.5.20. Every 3.6 I tried the computer couldn't find the shopbot connection. I did firmware upgrades. I even tried the beta and I could load it and used keypad to move around but it acted aweful. I made the motors sound like they were getting comms and then dropping out....you know that aweful grind noise we all have heard at one time.
Any suggests??
PC is fairly new with lots of ram and running win 7 ultimate.

Are you sure that the drivers are loaded and that the Firmware was actually installed. Did you verify the progress bar when installing the firmware.
