Hello,

I have a friend that has a brand new Fisher Precise Super 65 Spindle with a Staco controller. Runs up to 45K rpm.

It will be a nice addition to my Shopbot desktop.

I was wondering if anybody here is using it or if you think that I will have any issues getting it installed.

45,000 rpms ?

Are many or any bits rated for this speed ?

Sure are. From Precise bits.

I just finished my first project with inlay work with my ShopBot Desktop. I still need to install the bison leather wrap.

I used the 4th axis and had to manually edit the file so it would rotate whenever I wanted to.

I will post more pics once the cue is completed.

It is ivory and abalone dots. The wood is some ugly cocobolo I had laying around.
The ivory is 0.030" thick (the thickness of a wood veneer) and the abalone dots are 3mm diameter.
I told the software that the bit was .0015 smaller when I cut the inlays and the parts fitted nice and snug with the need of using a hammer :D
