X car not riding on rails correctly

New machine setup. I just recieved my machine and went through the whole book step by step. Width is a 32th off, however the X car is off by almost 1/4 inch. The front rail is on however there is liight below the rollers and the back rail is way off. Anyone have thoughts on the problem. Here is a picture of the end rail.At the top of the rail you can see a gap. Is this normal?

Roger, is it out for the length of the x rail? I 'm in the process of putting mine together too. If its the full length - adjusting that side of gantry is necessary. Its in the manual if you need a detailed description but its a matter of loosening the bolts that attatch x car & the y gantry(the bracket to the aluminum(y) & the steel side of x car. Dubliner
