How close is close enough when building the table? is 1/8th of an inch too much?

It's pretty easy to get it that close or better in square. You can keep everything just snugged up until all together and then nudge the square of things a bit with a 4x4 until you're done climbing around on your table. :)

I am too old to be climbing around the table, enter Son in Law...

I got mine all squared.... snugged things up and finished the assembly. Then right before I fastened the spoil boards down, checked it one last time and got it dead square.

I think mine is square and my cross members are off. If I measure corner to corner ti is perfect, and the rails are exactly on spot from one end to the other. I will have to test it after I get the boards down on her.

since i have never seen sheet goods that were square off the shelf I set my table close not to much worried about it being perfect then used a long bit and trimmed the whole thing square being extra careful not to hit the steel supports
