I would say aspire is better . I'm sure that others will chime in on this. I purchased a legacy mill years ago so the customer support was little. Years have gone by so it probably has changed. I see that they have on line training from their site but i doubt that you will get any kind of of support like that you would get from shopbot or this forum . ( hi Nancy)

A search for 'legacy' on the SB forum brings up these links.

There are several of us in your area if you would like to see a machine or Aspire in action.

Can't beat Aspire for 'Bang for the buck' quality and support!

I do not know of their Arty" but I certainly know of their support. They have none. I had their older cnc machine a few years ago and I couldn't get decent support no matter what. The machine I had was nothing compared to what a ShopBot is. You can't compare them even though they were close to the same price.

I have had a manual legacy machine for years and their tech support and attitude sucks. They would leave me hanging on a non 800 phone number for more then 30 minutes waiting for someone to help then the phone would mysteriously get disconnected.
This happened all the time. That is why a guy, Art Ransom, and myself, started a legacy yahoo group over 10 years ago. To try to help ourselves since the company basically "took your money and ran" and was arrogant about it.

That was why when i bought a Shopbot I was so pleased at the whole 180 degree difference in support and attitude toward the customer. Do not buy a legacy, i don't care if it is $50.00. You will live to regret it.
