I just got in several bits and I want to set them up properly in aspire. Now I called shopbot for some help and they referred me to Onstrud, so I called Onstrud and they reffered me to shopbot.
Now I really dont know ALL about the different steps in the setup in the tool info (pass depth, stepover, spindle speed, feed rate, plunge rate, etc. I am working with soft and hard woods. Now is there a (in general ) guide to guide me through this? I want to set this up properly. If someone would show me how to do this and also the chip load chart just one time and make it where someone who has never did this will understand, then I hope I will never ask this question again!!!!! Thanks so much

Perry,
I think you will find this to be helpful.

https://www.onsrud.com/plusdocs/Doc/index.html?model.code=FeedSpeeds

I will email you router bit basics PDF that also came from the shopbot forum.
