Unit vales, jog and move

I set to Jog 10 inches and my machine goes 12.5". When I Move 10 it goes 10. I searched here for a solution but have not found it. I only see one place for unit values to be set. If I set move speed to a very high value like 8 IPS, it is fine:confused:. What will cause Jog to be different from move?

It is a PRTAlpha 60x96 ASM98AA-T7.2. Also, anybody know the precise VU? I have 2482.8170 and I am not sure if that is the "official" unit value.

When jog and move don't agree I think your multiplier value is off. Not sure what yours should be...

UV should be 2482.8171 for X & Y, 2979.3805 for the Z IF you have the same motor on the Z. If it was upgraded and you have an AS911 on the Z, then your UV will be 1273.2395.

The multiplier under VU should be 5 for the 7.2 motors (X&Y) and 4 for the Z if you are running an AS911, otherwise it is 5.

Okay -- all is good. I now realize I had the same issue the first time I set up the machine way back when. Now I need to better understand how the spindle and VFD work. I will play/experiment some more.
