PRSalpha 4x8..is there such a thing?

I am in the market for a good lightly used PRSalpha. I noticed that Shopbot doesn't list a 4x8 alpha as an option, but they do list a 4x8 standard. Do they sell a 4x8 alpha or do folks that say they have one originally purchased a standard and upgraded the motors to make an alpha?

There have most certainly been a good number of 4 by 8 PRSalpha's sold. Along with thousands of the 4 by 8 PRT variations. Give SB a call and they can let you know the pricing.

Gary, I would love to buy new, but the alpha is just out of my price range. I am looking for a recent PRS 4x8 with a spindle in the 10-12k range.

The 10159 is a 4 x 8 machine PRS Alpha. A used 4 x 8 PRS standard with spindle will be in the $10 to 12k range.
