Need a little HELP... Need a driver for a new spindle

Here's the details.... I need the drivers for the USB Spindle Controller for a V 1000 - VFD.

I got the spindle installed and running.:) But cannot control the speed from the computer. No drivers on the ShopBot Web site and the driver from the mfg's site will not install.

The spindle speed control drivers are installed with the SB3 software. So if your controller card connects, then the spindle drivers are installed.

What is your operating system?
Have you typed in the [T][R] command and set the parameters for your spindle?
Have you set the "Start with SB3" parameter to 1 (one)?

We are using Windows7 64 bit. We have reinstalled the SB3 again to make sure we did it like the doc you sent said. We have typed in the TR command and set parameters. We did set the "SB3" to "1"....

Rebooted and tried again and got a MSG that the spindle control device driver was not found.

Follow the instructions for a manual driver install in the attached doc. Win 7 security is very touchy.

Hi Jeff,

The drivers install at the end of the ShopBot control software install. See if they are in Device Manager with a yellow ?. If so you need to reinstall or update the driver. If it is Windows7 UAC probably prevented them from installing and you will need to right click on the DriverLoader.exe and select Run as Administrator. C:\Program Files (x86)\ShopBot\ShopBot 3\Drivers\ShopBotControllerV201 Then unplug the USB cable and plug it back in and the drivers should install.
