Howdy,

On the file I'm working with, I have set the safe z height in my Aspire 2.0 software to .5" and the same value in my ShopBot PRT96 router program. I zero the z axis on top of the 3" material I'm trying to cut, then send it to "home x, y, and z safe height", and it lifts the cutter .5" and returns home like it should. But when I start cutting the file, the router lifts the z axis another 2" or so and tops out, making the z stepper motor jam and skip steps. I guess I need to install a limit switch on it anyhow.. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Why is it moving higher when I have both pro
grams set to .5" safe height?
Thanks

Did it have something to do with a difference in the table zero vs. zero to top of material?
