Help?
I need to cut a channel in a piece that has a 4" arch in Z. So, not having a bit that can cut up to 4" deep, I need to create a toolpath that "ramps", as it travels Y. (To state it differently, if partworks could do it, I would create a vector with two different Z depths.)
Is there a post processor manipulation that can do it?

You should be able to do that with the fluting tool. Take a look at it & read the help file regarding options you can set.

Brady is right. I use the fluting tool to create "biscuit" slots in material all the time. It is a great tool and like Brady says, there are lots of options to get just the cut you want.
Your biggest challenge will be to find the bit needed to cut that deep.

Check with Her Saf cutters. They will make special order arbors for their cutters. They are extremely fair on their prices. I have had quite a few made even up to 5 inches long.
