Hello all, I an new to this board and in desperate need of help.

I just purchased and had delivered a 2006 PRTalphaBT 32" Desk top.
It was delivered yesterday and set up. All the electrical is up and running. I am having issues getting the computer to communicate with the control box, I have tried everything i can including downloading the driver (IOGear GUC232A), using windowns xp on an old system and trying vita, nothing seems to work.
Please help I do not want to feel like im out thousands, I could use a little St. Paddy's Luck.

What version of the ShopBot Control software are you using, have you downloaded the firmware to the control box? For the version of control software your using?

Gene,
Thank You, I did an extensive search of the forum yesterday, all the issues seem to point to the driver!
But it did not seem to work.

Ron
It is not even letting get that far, its not matching the control box with the software.
I am very new to shop bot, but not to CNC. the previous guy that had the maching was here yesterday for over 12 hours helping me with the install, he was drawing a blank.

Im downloading the firmware now, it is going through a process I did not notice yesterday.
