Hi
I just upgraded my control software to 3.8.02, updated my firmware and everything seemed to install fine. However, when I went to run the machine, the jog was all choppy and jumpy.

I have a PRS Standard with a V201A Control Card. The website said any card above V2XX should work.

Can anyone help. I need this running for work today if possible.

Thanks
Ben

1) Send a message to ShopBot Support.

2) List your:

CPU Speed
RAM/Memory
If you are running USB 2.0 hardware or 1.1
Operating System

3) Check out this thread: 3.8.0 (http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17162) and see if your hardware falls into the categories I listed as being problematic.

Thanks Brady,
I uninstalled 3.8 and put back my tried and trusted version 3.6.44. Now I am have a false E switch signal which is preventing my machine from moving. I have a connection but when I go to jog or move it immediately registers an E stop (input 4). I checked the connection with in the control box which was fine and re installed the software with the same problem.

Any thoughts?

Ben do a UR command and reset your settings. After you reset it you may have to change you VFD settings also.

Ben,

I also had trouble when I went to 3.8 and so reverted to 3.6. And then I started having problems on 3.6. I suspect one of my mistakes was leaving the ShopBot connected via the USB hub when updating the control box firmware, instead of connecting it directly to the computer. This may not be your problem at all but I thought it worth mentioning. I have now upgraded to 3.8 and all is working well. A good (re)boot of the computer and giving the ShopBot a rest also seemed to help ;-)

Cheers
