Those are really neat, I have a book on willow furniture, which I use to make, but there are several pictures of tree chairs in it and really cool looking.:p

It looks like that took probably 20 years to grow and prune and cultivate it to look like that and it will only take one fat ass to come along and sit in it and break it...:eek:

I have seen where guys have twisted branches to grow together like a spiral but nothing like this...

I'd say more like 5 or 6 years tops. Willow grows very quickly...and the neat thing about Willow is that you can coppice it, and it will all grow back again in another 4 to 6 years...They do this extensively in Europe for firewood.

We had some outdoor furniture made from willow and this stuff sat outside in rain and snow and heat for over 30 years and never rotted and we left it when we moved.

I'm not too worried, this will come to an end when the liberal "Tree Watcher Advocates for Tree Serenity" get involved and sue for the undue captivity and confinement of trees everywhere.
