I am about to make a quantity of wooden trophy plaques. They will each be 8x10. As a workflow I would like to
1. cut to size
2. route edges
3. Finish in Deft or another lacquer
4. COVER WITH A PAINT RESIST
5. v carve the information
6. spray color on the the v carving
6. remove the resist

Can anyone suggest a tape or spray on resist that will remove from fairly fresh finish without making a mess?

Thanks
Tom

I have used oracle brand stencil grade vinyl from our vinyl cutter. it works well until you start gettinginto really small letters then you might lose the middles of you r's and B's
