Is anyone using BVC vacuum cups (pods) on their tables? Would they work with a Fein III vac. source? Are there better, lower cost pods available? Do they have built-in, auto shut-off valves?

I have a Buddy48 alpha and am wondering about mounting them using tee nuts into the slots of the power sticks such that they would be easily and quickly movable or removable as needed. The small dia. suction tube would likely fit under the tee nut heads in the power stick slots if ground down.

A-hem...you own a CNC...Make your own! It doesn't get cheaper than that! You can get the valves from Joe Woodworker.

It was the valves that were stumping me Brady, Thanks :-)

Gerald. I have a fein vacuum I use for dust extractor on my sanders and routers. If you need one I can order you one and have it shipped to you. Email me and I will get you my wholesale cost on them. I love the fein. I haven't tried it for vacuum holddown just as dust extractor. :)

Fein T3s are excellent for hold down where you have a plenum at least 1 foot square. Small pucks do better with higher vacuum, typically with gasketing and a pump that does 20-28 Hg".

However...You use it for dust extraction OR hold down. Not both.

Hey Brady. I haven't used any form of vacuum holddown yet. I just use clamps and screws etc. Works for me for now.

Cheers,
