Spindle upgrade

Thinking into the future...if one were to buy a desktop model with a router and later upgrade to the spindle, what would be involved or is this even possible?

It's always possible :) I just don't see any advantage. The spindle offers a lot of possibilities for production work, but I don't really see that happening on a desktop...

Andy there is a guy on this forum doing serious long run production on his Desktop. He could be the one to ask. name is Jon in Perth Australia. Lots of videos of his machine working.

There are plenty of desktops out there running production...In fact there are even a few out there with dual spindles running production. I just upgraded one earlier this week.
