Flutes with square corners

Hey Folks, we've been struggling trying to figure out how to cut flutes using a half inch v bit where the ends have square corners. We are using aspire 4. We just can't seem to figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

is there a straight line in the fonts that then could be lengthened and v carved?

Just draw a rectangle the desired width & length, then select & v-carve.

No problem, Steve. Learning the software is an adventure that will often test your patience. BUT...You may not have used that part of your brain yet...It has to develop. Sounds weird, but it's true!

I highly recommend The Monroe Institue's HemiSync products for hemispherical brain synchronization. It flattens the learning curve & improves your right (creative) / left (logical/mathematical) brain communication, which is in lockstep with CAD/CAM work. Those who 'get it' will get it...;)
