add on memory

I was wondering if there was a way that Ted and his excellent crew could develop a add on memory board between the computer and controller that would act as a buffer for long runs.

I E mailed Frank and Ted this idea and Ted said he would look into it. He also said that most of their computers are multi core and run with no problems. Could we start a discussion on what kind of computer you are running and if it will run 3.8.6.
here are my computer specs that run it
HP dc 5000s
Pent 4 single core 2.8 ghz
2 gig ram
usb 2 with the IO gear hub
XP pro
