When I turn on my machine with the switch on the controller everything is normal. When I do the reset to start up my 220v GFI Bkr that supplies my garage trips. I temporarily replaced the gfi bkr with a regular one and everything works fine. The 220v GFI Bkr is in my house and used to supply another bkr box in the garage which in turn provides the 30 amp ckt for the ShopBot. This arangement has supplied other 220 and 120 loads in the garage for a couple of years with no probem. The GFI Bkr is required to meet code. Anyone have any ideas??GFI Bkr tri

Joe, is your grounding definitely good? You should have the controller, PC, router (or spindle) and table all grounded well. I would check the ground all the way back to the breaker panel and also from the meter base to the ground rod outside the building. It could be a faulty GFI breaker, I've seen a few of those but I would first be suspicious of all grounding issues.

Around here, the GFI breakers trip for both:
- ground fault (20-30mA)
- current overload

Your temporary breaker may have a higher current overload rating?
