A while back I caugth the guys in our theater throwing away two ugly pieces of wood. Upon closer inspection I have what apears to be two very nice pieces of 2x3x8' white oak. I have been sitting on it for a while waiting for it to tell me what it wants to be. Well it spoke and I started cutting and glued up a panel. I am getting ready to surface abd carve and cut the panel but before I do I'd apreciate some input. The design I am working on is simple it includes a texture with 1/8" max depth using an 1/8" ball nose mill, some v-carve text using a 60 degree bit, and a profile with a 1/4" standard 2 flute mill.

Any input on feed and speed including the surfacing routine would be greatly apreciated. I also have othe 1/4" straight cutters including a standard 4 flute, a high helix 2 flute, a variable helix 2 flute, up and down o-flutes, and a stadard two flute down. Would one of these be preferable over the standard two?
