Have a customer looking for a quote on Zebra wood
I know it is a hard wood, but never cut it before
does anyone know how different or how much harder it is then Russian Ply?
Best bit's to use
speeds etc.......
or maybe just how hard it is to cut
I have to drive 100 miles to pick up a sample pc to test but you know I will just don't want to under estimate my cutting time

Thanks
Frank

wood type does not very much I cut it 3ips 1/4" per pass 8k rpms.that works not matter what wood. I always use a downcut bit too keeps tearout from happening.
it's not that hard compared to purpelheart and such. about like hard maple if I remember right it's been a long time since I had any. But I cut the hardest of woods at the above settings with a 1/4" and 1/2" bit.
