Freeze Up

For the last week or so whenever I pull up the key pad to manually move my xyz axis , after a few seconds my program freezes up, sometimes when I stop the program from running manually it freezes and I have to start task master to undo it. My xy zero is lost and I have to redo my zero's all over.:eek: Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know what possibly may be going on.:mad: Did I explain that well enough?:confused: Oh yeah I'm talking about Shopbot3 controller version 3.6.46 ....

Have you done any updates or installed anything new to the PC?

What else is running on that computer plugged into the USB? Wireless KB & Mouse? Batteries up to par?

If running XP, you must eject a USB thumb drive before physically pulling it out or it can cause problems.

I had a bad cable that was very intermittant in one of the plugs, I replaced it and all is well again. Russ

I use windows 7 Professional, I use a Logitech rumba pad for my key pad to move all 3 axis manually but even when it is not hooked up it does it, brand new cable on computer and Shopbot, no updates, probably this computer with it's quad core processor...:mad:

Check out the black viper web site, I was having a lot of problems with my computer until I shut down a lot of programs running in the background that I did not need.
